ATR appoints Filippo Bagnato as Chief Executive Officer

The ATR Assembly of Members has appointed Filippo Bagnato as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ATR. He succeeds Stéphane Mayer, whose three-year mandate according to ATR’s statutes has expired.

AIG Names Henri Courpron ILFC Chief Executive Officer

American International Group and International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) announced today that aviation industry veteran Henri Courpron has joined ILFC as Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Courpron, 47, succeeds ILFC Vice Chairman Alan Lund, who has served as interim ILFC President and CEO since March, and who will remain as President of ILFC. Mr. Courpron will be based in ILFC’s Los Angeles headquarters.

 
Airbus delivers the first A380 to Lufthansa

Lufthansa has taken delivery of the first of 15 Airbus A380s ordered, with three more to join the fleet in 2010. Lufthansa will deploy its new flagship aircraft on routes to Tokyo, Beijing and Johannesburg.

 
Boeing 737 Production Rate to Increase to Meet Customer Demand

Boeing today announced that it will increase production rates on the Next-Generation 737 program to 34 airplanes per month in early 2012. The planned rate increase is aimed at satisfying continued strong demand for the Next-Generation 737. In addition, the company continues to study further potential 737 rate increases, given continued customer demand.
