Air Namibia expands its wings into West Africa
Tuesday, 24 November 2009 22:48

Starting 20 November 2009, Air Namibia now operates scheduled flights between Windhoek and Accra in Ghana, with traffic rights to uplift passengers between Johannesburg and Accra.

The airline operates 5 flights per week, with traffic rights to uplift passengers, baggage, cargo and airmail between Johannesburg and Accra using the recently granted 5th freedom traffic rights by Governments of South Africa and of Ghana. This will make Air Namibia the only airline operating direct and “non stop” flights between Accra and Johannesburg, offering a flight which takes roughly 6 hours.
